Tokyo Big Sight, officially known as the Tokyo International Exhibition Center, is Japan’s largest convention and exhibition facility, located in the Ariake district of Tokyo’s Odaiba area. Opened in 1996, the venue is renowned for its striking architecture, featuring the iconic Conference Tower made of glass and titanium, composed of four inverted pyramids. This futuristic design makes it an easily recognizable landmark in Tokyo Bay.
The complex covers a massive 115,420 square meters, making it capable of hosting a wide range of events, including international exhibitions, conventions, and trade shows. Tokyo Big Sight is divided into several sections: the East Exhibition Halls, West Exhibition Halls, South Exhibition Halls, and the Conference Tower. Each section is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to cater to the diverse needs of event organizers.
The East Exhibition Hall is particularly expansive, offering a total of eight halls that can be configured to accommodate different event sizes. The halls are designed to be flexible, with features such as mobile roofs and the ability to merge adjacent spaces. The West Exhibition Hall includes additional exhibition areas, as well as outdoor spaces that overlook Tokyo Bay, offering a pleasant and scenic backdrop for events.
Tokyo Big Sight is more than just an exhibition center. It also offers various amenities, including 15 restaurants and cafes, which are conveniently located throughout the complex. The venue’s versatility, combined with its high-tech infrastructure, makes it a prime location for both domestic and international events.
